Volume dips on weaker car demand, lower GM, Toyota tallies

U.S. light vehicle sales slipped 0.2 percent in August on weaker car demand and lower volume at GM and Toyota, as well as a smaller increase in incentive spending. The SAAR for August came in at 16.69 million, slightly below forecasts of 16.
